Nivesh ("the app") is developed and operated by an individual developer. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Profile information you enter. Your display name, monthly income, and (optionally) your phone number. Your phone number is only used to match you when another Nivesh user records a personal loan (Udhar) entry against that number, so we can notify you and let you confirm it — see "Udhar (Lending & Borrowing)" below.
Investment data you enter. Details you add about your investments (recurring/fixed deposits, amounts, interest rates, tenure, banks, and the people you track investments for), your monthly budget (income and expenses), and any notes you add. This data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) and is private to your account, unless you explicitly choose to share a specific investment with another Nivesh user by email.
Udhar (Lending & Borrowing) data. If you use the Udhar feature to track money lent to or borrowed from another person, we store the person's name, the amount, date, an optional note, and — if you provide it — their phone number. If that phone number matches another Nivesh user's registered number, they receive a notification and a pending request they can Accept or Reject; only on acceptance does the transaction appear in their own ledger (with the direction reversed to reflect their side of it). You may optionally attach a photo or PDF as proof for a transaction; this file is uploaded to Firebase Storage and is private to your account, accessible only via a private link stored on your own transaction record.
Contacts (optional). If you tap "pick from contacts" when adding an Udhar entry, the app opens Android's built-in contact picker. We only read the name and phone number of the single contact you select — the app does not read, store, or upload your full contacts list.
Device and usage information. Standard technical information such as device type, app version, and crash/error logs, used to keep the app working correctly.
Advertising identifiers. The app shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect an advertising identifier and related data to show and measure ads. See Google's own privacy policy for how AdMob handles this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your investment, budget, and Udhar data is private to your account. We only share data with:
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Deleted investments are moved to a "Recently Deleted" area and can be permanently removed from there. To request full deletion of your account and all associated data (including Udhar entries and proof attachments), contact us using the details below.
Nivesh is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
